'The Great Gatsby' musical explores wealth, love and the American dream

The latest incarnation of author F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic 1925 novel ''The Great Gatsby'' has opened in London's West End, offering audiences the chance to step into Jay Gatsby's world of parties at his mansion on Long Island, near New York City. "We're out to deliver all of the opulence of Jay Gatsby and then also to tell this, this story about whether the American dream is possible,’’ said director Marc Bruni. Actors Jamie Muscato and Frances Mayli McCann say the story is a romantic tragedy where "no one wins."
